DIY Gingham Vest

Hello Friends, Gingham seems to be a huge trend this spring. Seeing different variations and styles of this trend in Old Navy, Nordstrom, Anthropologie etc.,to name a few.
Today, I am sharing an easy way to add and style gingham trend with your existing wardrobe pieces.
I am using my husband’s old gingham shirt which he bought from Express (I think), the Shirt was in really good shape and hubby wasn’t using it anymore. Hence made its way into my closet..ha ha

Simple process, cut off both sleeves. I wanted the vest to be fitted so cut approx 1/2 inch on both sides of the shirt, skip this step if you like loose fit. Sew the sides seams close and hem around the armhole to finish.
Gingham vest is very easy to style and can wear it in spring, summer and fall !
Pair the vest with a simple dress, layered necklace and high heels for a chic look. Alternatively, pair it with jeans and white tee for an instant casual feel .
Dress : Gap | Layered necklace: Forever21 | Shoes: Sole Society | Sunnies: SunglassHut

Jeans: NewYork and Company | Tee : Forever21 | Bag : Coach | Shoes: DSW shoes

Bag: Michael Kors
