DIY: Scarf tank

Before & After
Hello Everyone, I am back with a DIY after a long time, more coming soon. I made a simple and fun top out of an old scarf & tank I had in my closet.
Here is how I did it :
Fold and  place the tank on flat surface and trace the shape on paper.
Extend the hem line of paper pattern 2 inches beyond the tank hem as seen above.
If your scarf has symmetrical design like mine then cut in half so both the sides look alike.
Place the paper pattern on the cut pieces of scarf and cut.
Place the scarf pattern on the tank as seen above and sew along the seam line(yellow dots). Do the same on the other side and you are done.
Thank you for stopping by, have a fun week ahead :)

  3. What keeps the scarf fabric from unraveling on all those loose edges?

  4. Do you hem the raw edges, and do you have any tips on the sewing stitch when you sew the scarf to the tank top?
